NeST Digital signs MoU with Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Kottayam to promote Industry Academia Collaboration and Research

18th Nov 2022, Kottayam: NeST Digital has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the prestigious Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT), Kottayam, for collaborating in various areas of industry – academia partnerships and research. NeST Digital, the proven provider of successful digital transformation solutions, aims to be a pioneer in the field of industry-academia partnerships.
The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Kottayam was established as one of the “Institutions of National Importance” by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India and focuses on excellence in Information Technology, Technical Education and Research. Their mission is to generate a specialized cadre of Information Technology experts, by imparting quality education, training and to attain international standards in the fields of teaching, research and consultancy.
The joint partnership will focus extensively on the development of industry-specific solutions, leveraging the domain & tech expertise of NeST Digital in areas such as artificial intelligence, data science, and cybersecurity, among others.
Other areas of collaboration include joint certification programmes, knowledge enrichment programmes, capacity building for NeST’s employees, setting up labs at IIIT Kottayam for research and training, job opportunities with NeST Digital and more.
The MoU signing function was held at IIIT Kottayam on November 18th, 2022 and Ms. Nazneen Jehangir, CEO and Executive Director of NeST Digital exchanged MoU documents with Prof. Rajeev Dharaskar, Director, IIIT Kottayam. The MoU stands enacted with the signatures of Dr. M Radhakrishnan, Registrar- IIIT Kottayam and Ms. Nazneen Jehangir, CEO and Executive Director of NeST Digital.
Speaking at the function, Ms. Nazneen Jehangir CEO and Executive Director of NeST Digital said “A firm believer that the best engineering minds should have access to quality education and cutting-edge R&D training, it gives me immense pleasure to collaborate with one of the finest institutions, The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Kottayam, in fostering innovation through Industry. Dr. Rajiv Dharaskar, Director of IIIT Kottayam, emphasized the significance of quality education and industry-relevant research in developing cutting-edge technologies. Mr. Sivan Menon (Strategic Advisor-NeST Group), Dr. Pradeep. S. (Assistant Vice President of NeST Digital Academy), Dileep Choyappally (Vice President & Head, HR – NeST Digital),Ram Mohan Ramakrishnan (Consultant – NeST Digital),Bobby George (Assistant Manager, Branding – NeST Digital) had attended the function and IIIT Kottayam faculty members were also present during the event.
