NeST Digital partnered with a technology and solution provider in the P&C Insurance domain to address their challenge of expensive vendor support and slow implementation timelines for end clients. The customer had migrated from a legacy policy administration product to a Microsoft .NET based solution and was struggling to justify the ROI. 

Challenge

The customer had migrated to a Microsoft .NET based solution and was facing the following challenges: 

  • Expensive vendor support for the migration and subsequent support. 
  • Difficulty justifying ROI for the technology migration. 
  • Slow implementation timelines for end clients, becoming a concern for the customer. 

Solution

Through a three-phase solution, NeST Digital deployed a team of developers with P&C domain expertise offshore, took over support responsibility for new implementations, and formed dedicated offshore support teams for each end client of the customer. The result was significant cost savings and the ability for the customer to focus on developing new business while NeST Digital managed daily application management. 

The success of this engagement led to NeST Digital providing additional services such as implementation of Home Owners, Dwelling Fire, and Claim Management Systems, as well as automation and production support for 7 insurance companies in the U.S. 

NeST Digital provided an IT solution with the following phases: 

  • Deploying engineers to customer site to form a team of developers with P&C domain expertise offshore to learn the product. 
  • Taking over the support responsibility for new implementations in personal lines from the original vendor. 
  • Forming dedicated offshore support teams for each end client of the customer to take care of production support and enhancements.
